Position Overview:

Freddie Mac has an exciting opportunity for a Development Senior to work in the Single Family Portfolio and Servicing Technology division at Freddie Mac.

We are seeking a motivated individual with strong performance testing skills and development experience to join our team. As a senior member of the IT development team, the individual would independently contribute to creating and executing workloads and have background in software development. The individual would support the technology and tools changes/improvements on the delivery processes. Work collaboratively with the other open minded, technology savvy and dedicated team members.

Your Impact:

You will be responsible for understanding business needs and processes, determining solutions, presenting, and working with project team/sponsors in identifying the best performance workloads to validate AWS EKS infrastructure. A huge part of this role will be participating in requirements refinements and analysis. Simulating workloads based on system requirements and architecture design, prototype, if necessary, develop and deploy applications are a required task of this role. Prepare workload models for applications performance and resiliency validation by analyzing production historical data. Promoting top code quality and solve exciting issues related to performance tuning and scalability, producing high quality code via review, implementing software application changes with aggressive deployment timeline, developing testing scripts for the applications to deliver a stable, high-quality product to production, and providing production support that includes evaluating defects, investigating root cause, and coming up with solutions to address the defects. Monitor application performance and resiliency using tools and analyze the results to drive continuous improvement for future deployments. You will comply with the department processes, standards and general industry-based workloads development principles, DevOps practices, concepts, documentation, and techniques

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related discipline

• Experience in creating performance workloads using tools like LoadRunner, JMeter

• Analyze client and server-side metrics, identify performance degradation and performance tuning for transactions.

• Experience working in an Agile, Scrum/Lean/Kanban, or Scaled Agile organization.

• Working knowledge of J2EE and Web Services

• Experience with SQL and no-SQL, Stored Procedures, XQuery and XML Query

• Experience in using modern tools: Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket), Kubernetes, OCP/AWS

• Experience in building, deploying and pipeline delivery scripts development using Jenkins, Maven, ANSIBLE, GIT, Gradle, CI/CD pipeline

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $116,000 - $174,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
