Position Overview:

Are you someone with a passion for Information Security and have a strong background in Security Engineering and Tool Engineering & Operations? We are seeking a Manager to join our platform security team!

Our Impact:

The Security Engineering and Tool Engineering & Operations team is responsible for the technical management of Freddie Mac's Information Security systems across end point, data loss protection, data encryption, certificate and key management, and cloud services. Other responsibilities include focusing primarily on proper deployment, configuration, and functionality, providing mentorship on cybersecurity protection, detection, response, and recovery of services and products for the Freddie Mac infrastructure and applications across multi-site enterprise cloud and data center environments.

Your Impact:

This role is responsible for supporting and managing multiple data protection systems supporting database and file system activity monitoring, dynamic data masking (DDM) by attracting, retaining and developing top talent passionate about market needs, and encouraging Systems Engineering teams to provide quality service to drive a highly stable security organization! The Information Security Manager focuses on guiding and executing one of the following areas:

• Architecture and Innovation
• Security Operations & Engineering
• Cloud Security
• Endpoint Security
• Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Data Protection & Privacy

Qualifications:

• 8-10+ years of professional related experience with 2+ years of relative management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in variety industry standard security tools, including Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), DDM, data tokenization, AV/EDR, Encryption, FIM, Cloud, etc.
• Experience with System Administration basics with Linux (CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server (and associated technologies such as Active Directory and Exchange). Experience operating and maintaining production systems in Linux and public cloud environments.
• Experience with basic troubleshooting (network commands, cURL or related).
• Ability to lead all aspects relating to system administration including polices, keys, backup, log monitoring for unauthorized access, etc.
• Knowledge with AWS best practices and policies.
• Evening and weekend hours are expected for this role

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $139,000 - $209,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
