This team is responsible for comprehensive 2LOD oversight of the charter and Conservator compliance risks across Freddie Mac's major operating divisions. The team operationalizes the six Compliance Program pillars: Risk Identification and Classification; Risk Assessment and Measurement; Risk Oversight: Monitoring and Testing; Risk Remediation and Issue Management; Risk Reporting; and Risk Appetite.

Your Impact:

  • Assessing risk through risk and control assessments, quarterly risk review processes, and reviews of new business initiatives
  • Participating in monitoring the firm's compliance with charter and Conservator laws and regulations
  • Managing the documentation and timely remediation of related issues that have been identified by management, auditors or regulators
  • Representing the team in meetings with partners in the business divisions and internal audit
  • Collaborating with second-line teammates in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), as well as first-line and third-line partners, to mitigate and manage Compliance risks related to charter and Conservator activities across the firm
  • Understanding the ERM Framework
  • Participating in the Regulatory Compliance Risk Assessment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 5+ years of work experience preferably in Compliance or enterprise risk management functions
  • Degree in Business or related field is preferred
  • Risk methodology experience, including process, risk and control assessments and risk rating assessments
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $92,000 - $138,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
