Our Impact:

The Investments and Capital Markets (I&CM) Derivatives Operations Team is responsible for back office activities supporting derivatives trading. We perform trade confirmations, process margin movements daily, settle payments, and work together closely as a team to complete our daily functions.

Your Impact:

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Trade processing, confirmation and settlement.
  • Processing of incoming/outgoing wire activity.
  • Tracking and resolution of trade fails.
  • Reconciliation and validation of trade data.
  • Serve as point of contact with external vendors, and manage external clearing and custodial relationships.
  • Maintain internal controls across the full trade life cycle.
  • Partner with technology groups to identify workflow efficiency opportunities and enhance straight through processing.
  • Provide resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable.
  • Work under limited direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives.
  • Represent the organization as the principal point of contact on inquiries and often perform project leadership role.
  • Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.
  • Serve as an operational liaison for trading staff, counterparties, brokers, clearing agents, internal business areas, and internal/external auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years related experience in capital markets operations or finance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
  • Strong ability to balance baseline activities and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, teammate with good people and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously under pressure situations with sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with trading personnel, technology staff, accounting, audit, and legal.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $89,000 - $133,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
