Position Overview:

The Multifamily Mission, Policy and Strategy team is hiring a Business Management Senior to support the management of our mission priorities.

Our mission priorities are achieved through objectives and goals that further affordability, equity, resilience and stability through multifamily finance with a keen focus on the needs of underserved communities.

We are looking for someone who is determined to make an impact, is highly organized and will help run our ongoing mission priorities in areas of affordability, climate, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Our Impact:

The Multifamily Mission, Policy & Strategy is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight on mission priorities, helping the company navigate an increasingly sophisticated regulatory and policy environment while being a phenomenal partner with FHFA, policy and advocacy organizations, and industry stakeholders.

  • Focus on residents - Execute on our resident-centered housing strategy, with housing preservation as a driving force
  • Objective execution- Execute our 2025-2027 Duty to Serve and Equitable Housing plans, which include objectives focused on providing greater liquidity, affordable housing, and equity to underserved communities
  • Drive climate impact - Be responsible for the Multifamily climate strategy in alignment and partnership with Enterprise Risk Management and the Corporate Sustainability Office
  • Advance DEI - Continue to implement strategic priorities that support our culture of inclusion

Your Impact:

  • Project Management-Responsible for management of key project activities (process oversight, work plans, schedules, timelines, approvals) for mission objectives within the Duty to Serve plan, Equitable Housing plan and Multifamily climate strategy, ensuring mission objectives are on track
  • Organization and Operations-Provide support functions related to system organization, document retention, reporting obligations, and internal audit readiness. Assist with business needs assessments and process development
  • Internal Stakeholder Engagement-Communicate with stakeholders throughout the company, understanding the how goals of theirs are progressing, and the needs and challenges they face that may affect objective completion

Qualifications:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred
  • Typically has 5 - 7 years related technical experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strength in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with management platforms
  • Experience interacting and communicating with internal stakeholders and subject matter authorities
  • Multifamily experience preferred

  • Outstanding communication, written and verbal, comfortable communicating with all levels of staff and management
  • Highly organized and a drive for execution, ability to multitask and perform well with multiple competing and evolving priorities
  • Attention to detail in terms of project and time management
  • Effective collaboration skills with a love of learning and desire to gain a larger breadth of knowledge

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $97,000 - $145,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
