As an Agile Development Tech Lead, you will be working in hands-on capacity on critical Freddie Mac Multi-Family Systems. You will be collaborating with project team that's comprised of likeminded full stack Agile software developers, all working together to enhance and modernize the capabilities of these systems. Our team is made up of versatile individuals who thrive in a challenging work environment and enjoy applying their problem-solving skills. This role will be providing technical guidance and oversight to project execution team including technical mentoring and oversight. The position will also ensure alignment between project activities and accepted scope and negotiate with the business, vendors and other collaborators on changes to scope.

The individual would support the technology and tools changes/improvements on the delivery processes. Be a role model and a technical mentor to junior developers. Technical Leadership

Partner with technical team to design technical solutions to complex business use cases that align with target state architecture and conforms with corporate standard methodologies. Provide technical guidance to the project team members, lead design and code reviews. Train, mentor and provide thought leadership to junior developers.

Software Development
Analyze the Business requirements and come-up with design options that align with the technical roadmap and build proof of concepts as needed. Design and develop Micro Services based solutions using Java/JEE frameworks, UI frameworks, Docker and Open Shift. Work on the technical upgrades/migrations including but not limited to middleware, database and PAM workflow to the cloud Assess opportunities for application and process improvements, optimizations & performance tuning for Java/JEE applications.

DevOps/Application Support:
Design scaling strategies and develops automation scripts and solutions Provide mentorship on build automation using Dockers & Containers, and Orchestration technologies like OpenShift / Kubernetes/EKS and Atlassian tool suite. Also ensure application stability by implementing monitoring solutions for all layers of the infrastructure Support the team in solving issues and come up with timely resolutions to address them.

The position will also ensure alignment between project activities and accepted scope and negotiate with the business, vendors and other stakeholders on changes to scope. This role will provide technical expertise and oversight to various projects in a hands-on capacity while mentoring developers in the team.

Bachelor's or Masters degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience

A minimum of 10+ years of experience engineering exciting solutions
Experience working with large teams (more than 10) performing software development or infrastructure upgrades
Solid understanding of typical multi-tier architectures: web servers, batch and database
Knowledge / hands-on experience on multiple technologies such as:
Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Angular, Node JS, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML 5, and CSS
Database technologies - MongoDB, Postgres, etc.
Information and application security including firewall, AD, TAM/PING, LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, SSH, access credentials, etc.
Large microservice based architectures, container orchestration frameworks.
Build automation / CICD pipeline integration tools (Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, GIT, Bitbucket, Spinaker)
Sound Knowledge of unit testing methodologies and frameworks
Cloud platforms AWS/Azure/Google
Excellent communication skills.

Provide technical mentorship to all levels of a development team, mentoring them on technical topics
Act as an agent for change regarding the new technologies and tools, promote top code quality by leading design and code reviews, and solve challenging issues
Deep understanding of end-to-end software development and support processes.
Proficiency & experience utilizing methodologies (SDLC, AGILE, EDM, etc..)
Work and collaborate across teams

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $154,000 - $230,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
