In this position...
The Tax Manager, Talent Mobility, is responsible for the management of all global tax issues related to the movement of globally mobile employees. The role ensures the resolution of tax queries, including those related to travel, domestic relocation, and international service assignments, with consistency in a timely manner. The role closely partners with the HR leadership to address complex global mobility tax issues and collaborates with various departments. The role also supervises the maintenance of accurate tax-related documentation, and implementation of mobility tax policies and procedures related to assisting with the relocation of employees and their families. The role has expertise in interpreting tax and social security laws in different jurisdictions, international regulations, tax reporting, analyzing trends, and providing guidance to further contribute to enabling seamless global talent movement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do...
- Responsible for the global tax services program for all eligible populations
- Manages internal projects to develop solutions to various operational issues such as global mobility cost analysis, global mobility tax regulatory and compliance risks by analyzing quantitative and qualitative data across multiple sources, deciphering trends and identifying additional data that may be needed. Collaborates with HR Business Partner, Total Rewards, HR Technology, Finance, Office of Tax Counsel, etc. to develop implementation plans by anticipating tax or social security issues and developing associated preventative measures.
- SME for expatriate compensation and potential tax risks for the Company; counsel Business and HR partners on compliance options and risk mitigation for various business problems and employee requests
- Assess, revise, and implement changes to the global tax services policy, including hypothetical taxes and tax equalizations, for all applicable populations
- Assess, revise, and implement changes to the International Business Traveler Compliance Policy as it relates to tax compliance issues
- Assess, revise, and implement changes to the global mobility compensation end-to-end process, as needed
- Analyze tax proposals and recommendations from the global tax services provider
- Stay abreast of global tax regulation changes and advise the Company on potential impacts
- Liaison between HR, payroll teams, Incentive Compensation, the Talent Mobility People First team, the relocation management company, and the expatriate to ensure seamless and accurate compensation delivery
- Manage the tax equalization receivables global governance to include all escalations
- Manage the compliance activities for employees with delinquent tax information
- Manage global merit process for expatriate population
- Manage the cross-border taxation of incentive compensation for expatriates, to include equity income and bonus payments
- Manage Canada Commuter Hybrid Working Policy compliance program, to include the coordination of shadow payroll activities
QUALIFICATIONS
You'll have...
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (preferred) in Accounting, International Business, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience with a Master's degree or 8 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Global Mobility, International assignment programs, or a related field.
- Global Mobility Tax experience required.
- Confident and collaborative interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong data analytics skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-cultural and multi-national team and manage multiple priorities at the same time.
- Strong project management experience.
- Proactive and team oriented, with a strong drive for results.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
