We are seeking a Public Cloud Infrastructure Technical Project Manager for planning, leading, and helping to implement the next generation cloud infrastructure solutions. This position will be part of the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team and will require knowledge of Public Cloud Infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform, networking, strong experience and knowledge as a Technical Project Manager, and the ability to understand and lead complex technical projects. This role will lead and manage products as well as projects, so experience managing product lifecycles is key.

This role will be responsible for driving the teams to meet committed deliverables as well as working with the engineers, technical leads and managers across the broader organization to assess risk, communicate status and drive closure to key issues. This role will need to understand and operate technology as well as being a strong TPM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What you'll do...

  • Lead agile ceremonies for two related product teams
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans and schedules
  • Ensure alignment between engineering activities, timelines, milestones and resource allocation
  • Manage dependencies for two product teams
  • Provide technical guidance to internal and external customers
  • Add value technically, with opportunities ranging from: reviewing and approving pull requests, providing architecture recommendations, performing some development, reviewing solutions from the team, etc.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and modernization teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions while leveraging scalability, high-performance and security.
  • Communicate program status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for testing.
  • Drive closure to key issues by working with development teams and other TPMs.
  • Analyze defect trends and patterns and recommend process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and methodologies, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Regularly review existing systems and make lean recommendations for improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with a focus on DevOps, security, and/or networking.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of containerization, Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment, Google Cloud Platform or another Public Cloud provider, networking controls such as firewalls, ingress & egress, and security controls.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage detailed project plans.
  • Experiencing managing products and product lifecycles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work frictionlessly with engineers and developers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with version control using Git and GitHub
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (specifically JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).
