RESPONSIBILITIES

What you'll do...

Design, Develop and optimize scalable, reliable data solutions to deliver reusable patterns using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services: Big Query, Dataflow, DataForm, Astronomer, Data Fusion, DataProc, Cloud Composer/Air Flow, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Artifact Registry, GCP APIs, Cloud build and App Engine, and real-time data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub and Qlik Replicate.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

Perform comprehensive current & future state analysis, data mapping, impact analysis, root cause analysis, and data lineage activities to maintain data integrity and traceability.

Implement and promote an enterprise data governance model emphasizing data protection, sharing, reuse, quality, and standards.

Create and maintain clear documentation for processes and systems.

Employ Test-Driven Development (TDD) and participate in CI/CD processes for frequent code delivery, Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide production support.

Continuously enhance Ford Credit domain expertise, stay current on data engineering best practices, and contribute to the company's technical direction. Maintain a customer-centric approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

You'll have...

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study.

5+ years of experience leading large-scale data transformation initiatives, including data warehouse design and ETL process implementation.

5+ years of experience in complex SQL development; 3+ years of GCP expertise.

Proven ability to optimize data architectures across new and legacy platforms, ensuring data alignment for business intelligence reporting.

Expertise in data analysis, system integration, and data pipeline creation using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a track record of successfully overcoming technical roadblocks in high-stakes projects.

Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork across functional groups.

Even better, you may have...

Demonstrated expertise in cloud data engineering, ideally with GCP Professional Data Engineer certification. Advanced degree preferred.

Successful track record of delivering complex data solutions in regulated financial environments; experience with Teradata migrations a plus.

Proven ability to design, build, and optimize high-performance data pipelines using modern tools and technologies.

Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance; experience implementing best practices in cloud environments.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
