A Scrum Master is a supporting role within Forcepoint's Product development organization. Your responsibilities include facilitating our Agile teams to increase their maturity and focus on the delivery of customer value. You demonstrate strong communication skills in supporting your teams and bring transparency to Managers and business stakeholders. You proactively identify and escalate impediments, manage risk, and enable continuous improvement. You are considered a subject matter expert in scaling Lean and Agile practices, based upon Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You understand the opportunities and challenges associated with developing complex software at scale, working with other Scrum Masters across multiple teams and multiple geographies. You partner with your peer Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Agile Coaches, Release Train Engineers, and others to continuously monitor and improve team flow and predictability.

Job Responsibilities
- Be an accomplished Scrum Master, with new and innovative ideas, passion and ability to motivate and inspire scrum teams and stakeholders.
- Champion and demonstrate Scaled Agile and Lean-Agile principles.
- Guide and influence others to ensure scrum team success.
- Participate in Agile Communities and promote the use of modern Agile engineering best practices.
- Assist teams in optimizing the flow of customer value using various tools including Kanban boards and similar information radiators.
- Assist Release Train Engineers in their responsibilities of facilitating and improving Agile Release train events and incremental planning.
- Identify and facilitate team risks and dependencies. Coordinate, mitigate and reduce team impact.
- Participate in Agile maturity assessments based upon subjective and objective data.
- Take ownership to facilitate Agile ceremonies including Capacity Planning, Sprint Planning, Demos and Retrospectives.
- Partner with the Product Owner to ensure team backlog health and readiness.
- Ensure releases are delivered successfully by partnering with peers locally and globally.
- Report on progress, roadblocks and timelines with stakeholders.
- Work in a structured manner, while fostering creativity and new ideas.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study
Experience (Required):
- 3+ years' experience in a commercial software development environment.
- 2-3 years' experience in an Agile role including Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
- Scrum Master certification which may include: Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP, Scrum.org PSM, PMI Agile Certified Professional (ACP), Scaled Agile Framework Scrum Master (SASM)
- Proven application of one or more Agile frameworks (XP, Scrum, Lean, Kanban).
Skills:
- Knowledge of best practices for Agile development, planning and scheduling, defect management, code management, continuous integration environments, and formal quality practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration, listening and communication skills.
- Be empathetic, supportive, and find compromise to achieve the best outcomes.
- Leverage experiences and interpret data to determine areas of potential risk and impact.
- Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with Microsoft productivity tools, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
- Experience with collaboration tools including Teams and Slack.
- Ability to work successfully across team and geographical boundaries to deliver joint initiatives.
- Proven ability to establish trusted, effective relationships across diverse sets of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience of continued improvements while delivering successfully.
- Maximize the team's effective time with minimal interrupts.
Other Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Knowledgeable in Software Security industry and customer solutions.
