The Sr. Partnership Manager, Trucking role is a critical part of Flexport providing end-to-end supply chain solutions for our clients today with a forward-looking view and build for the future. 

This person will be responsible for over-the-road trucking at Flexport, whether the final leg from an ocean shipment or stand-alone FTL or LTL move as well as transloads with our warehouse partners. They must bring a builder's mentality and tenacious attitude. Daily tasks include managing our trusted trucking and warehouse partner companies while enabling internal teams to grow Truckload and Platform business. This position requires working with both external and internal stakeholders while helping guide the vision of Truckload at Flexport. 

What you will do:

  • Own strategic relationships with trucking and warehousing providers: Flexport has close partnerships with truckload Asset/Brokerage carriers and third party warehouse companies. This position will manage those relationships and be the primary point of contact for our partners.
  • Be responsible for Truckload and Warehouse performance, including growth, on time service, and Flexport policy adherence: Truckload and Warehouse offerings at Flexport require strategic procurement focused on best cost and service. Performance comes from smart procurement and management of partners.
  • Partner with sales to grow Truckload and Transload services at Flexport: Truckload and Transload services are an untapped market at Flexport. Growth will come with joining the sales journey with our talented Demand team.
  • Assist in developing and executing the future vision of Truckload and Transload at Flexport: We need more than a partner manager. We’re looking for someone to run the day to day while guiding the vision of Truckload services at Flexport.
  • Be the face of Trucking at Flexport, including pricing, operations, and leadership functions: Internal and external stakeholders will start with you when thinking about Truckload at Flexport. 

You should have:

  • 10+ years in customer, carrier, or partner management in the logistics industry
  • Strategic vision coupled with ground floor execution
  • Program management skills (set goals, manage delivery, create and measure)
  • Ability to make informed decisions using data
  • Previous sales experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Ability to travel
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the posting's respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. 
The US base salary range for this position (exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits):
$162,800$203,500 USD
