To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Training Specialist located in Flex Batam.
Reporting to the Senior Training Specialist the Training Specialist role is responsible of developing and conducting training programs for employees within the organization.
What a typical day looks like:
- Contributes to needs investigation studies to define training opportunities within an organization.
- Confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better recognize changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
- Formulates teaching outline and define instructional methods such as unipersonal training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
- Identifies or develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.
- Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, apprenticeship programs, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading and business development.
- Evaluates participants to measure progress and to ascertain effectiveness of training.
- Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
- Revises design of training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness.
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- Prior training experience is preferred.
- Good communication skills and excellent relational skills.
- Demonstrates operations and technical skills and comprehension of Flex's functional standards.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid comprehension of Flex policies and procedures.
- Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
- Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: office software to include, word-processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages.
- ASTD member or certification preferred.
