Job Summary
The Technical Design Program Manager will be based in Farmington Hills MI. This role will be responsible for providing program management for Pursuit Engineering. Leading a cross functional, technical team in the delivery of quotes and technical design reviews. The ideal candidate is a Systems Engineer with a passion for project management and leading teams to win major business.
What a typical day looks like:
- Lead cross functional team of design engineers, validation engineers, supply chain, and manufacturing to deliver a technical proposal and competitive quote responses for challenging opportunities.
- Quote opportunities will be in new areas of product development with industry leading technological solutions.
- Drive Best Cost solution.
- Lead cross functional team to deliver technical design review package to communicate Flex's technical solution to customers' engineering community.
- Track quote project issues, and drive them to closure. Escalate to leadership team as needed.
- Lead team in "Pre-engagement" with customers to build relationships and technical knowledge to solve future quoting opportunities.
• BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 7+ years Engineering experience
• 3+ years Systems Engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in full product development lifecycle projects from design inception to mass production
• Previous design experience in one or more of the technical areas related to Automotive, Connectivity or electro-mechanical systems development.
• Highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills, initiative, superior problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and willingness to learn and adapt
