Summary:

To support our Global R&D team, we are currently looking for a Software Engineering Manager located in Stuttgart, DE. Reporting into the Global Software Director, the new Software Engineering Manager will drive technical direction, manage projects, and ensures high-quality software delivery, as well as oversee and mentors a development team.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
  • Technical leadership of a software engineering team
  • Interface to customers and 3rd party suppliers
  • Responsible for assessments of software projects and mapping to Flex software capabilities
  • Responsible for driving projects together with the team dealing with Power Electronics and Compute ECUs
  • Act as project owner and demonstrate a complete understanding of software projects
  • Responsible for providing detailed technical specification and accurate project level estimates for engineering effort

Here is some of what you'll need (required):
  • Degree in electrical engineering or computer science with electronics background
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Automotive or related industries in complex software engineering projects
  • Experience in in software development for vehicle bus communication and high speed interfaces
  • Experience with EE architecture and various SW configuration - Autosar experience is beneficial
  • Knowledge of automotive functional safety requirements (ISO26262), Cyber Security and Automotive Spice
  • Fluent in English, extensive experience in both written and spoken; German is beneficial
