To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Director of Engineering located in Guadalajara, North Campus .
Reporting to the VP, Operations, Senior Director of Engineering role involves drive new technology as complex electronics, and processes. Oversees the activities related to the technical support and process development engineering functions of a manufacturing area. Plans and implements the development of new and scale-up process formulas. Establishes operating equipment specifications and acts as a liaison with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible. Directs efforts to achieve cost effectiveness and improved product quality. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
What a typical day looks like:
- The Senior Director of Engineering will be driving new technology as complex electronics, and processes.
- Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several senior Manufacture engineering managers involved in activities related to process engineering capabilities and statistical process control systems.
- Organize and guide Project/Program reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications.
- Partner with other functional managers to ensure manufacture-engineering activities are well integrated with manufacturing operations.
- Provide guidance and feedback to subordinate managers to ensure achievement of goals and objectives.
- Plan, budget, and manage the Manufacture Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance and NPI group costs in line with corporate objectives.
- Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
- Develop, modify, and implement company policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect.
- Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers in controversial situations, contract negotiations or other matters for which influence skills are required.
- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience
- Experience managing operations & engineering in electronic manufacturing with strong background in engineering positions.
- Seeking an expert in process, test, quality, product, failure engineering, etc, within an electronics manufacturing environment, with proven experience driving efficiency, quality, and reliability improvements.
- Expertise in fluid mechanics and heat transfer (thermos-fluids & thermodynamics).
- Experience with liquid cooling processes, cold plate soldering and thermal management in electronic manufacturing environment is also a plus.
- Experience managing and achieving KPIs in Engineering functions which includes Manufacturing Processes, Product, Equipment, Assembly and Tests, Failure Analysis, Automation, Facilities etc.
- Experience managing engineering areas (Process, Product, Equipment, Tests, Failure Analysis, Automation, Industrial, etc.) line personnel, technicians, supervisors.
- Experience in NPI, New Product launch, automation, and process management.
- Good experience on SMT, Assembly & Test, Backend Processes, Testing and Equipment Engineering.
- Good leadership and organization skill in dynamics environment to achieve operation efficiency and profitability.
- Fluent English
