What a typical day looks like :
- Leading all Product Development Engineers to work effectively and accurately
- Product Design Lead & Technical program management for joint development service
- Lead the team to propose the best technical and cost-effective solution to customer
- Drive the project delivered in target timeline and within budget control
- Motivate and develop subordinates to design and develop industrial/medical product capability.
- Coordinate with relevant function to resolve on engineering, materials and human resources matter within and outside of flex
- Establish on-going training program for product engineers
- Drive value added service (BOM risk analysis, cost down design, alternative components replacement, hardcore troubleshooting) to support industrial/medical customers
- Main driver for recruiting technically competent engineers in the highly technical based environment
- Complete other tasks assigned by engineering director
- Bachelor's degree in EE engineering or Computer Science.
- Over 15 years of experience on R&D background and 10 years of project management / supervisor experience.
- Experience with industrial standard, IoT technology, high speed data transmission, wireless design, embedded system (Arm or x86), power design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and in English
- Knowledge on management style and deeply knowledge on the culture's elements and development to cross product life cycle
- Knowledge on the tools which are relative to the project managements (PMP certified will be bonus), R&D, QA management like DOE, DFMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, risk management, etc.
- Knowledge on the CAD tools which are relative to product design (Cadence, Mentor, PI/SI Simulation, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Knowledge on DFx analysis with development team and manufacturing team
- Knowledge on ECO management, component derating, MTBF calculation, reliability test, EMC test and Certification
- Relative finance knowledges on cost management, relative risk knowledges on risk/events management
- Strong management skills not only for the team internal but also cross functional support
- Ability to conduct workshops to improve/guide staff technical and leadership skills
- Ability to lead technical discussion with customer, propose design concept
- Experience to manage sustaining support to extend product life cycle
- Team working spirit should be highly necessary
- Lead team and provide guideline to get team successful and make team grow up, manage / development resources, modular of relative meeting/activities of team/department
