To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quantity Surveyor located in Blackburn, England.

Quantity Surveyor

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers in execution of projects and act as commercial lead dealing with clients and subcontractors.
  • Provide measurement support for risk and value management and cost control functions.
  • Prepare and issue notices to clients and suppliers for the notification of early warnings, claims for extension of time/cost, works suspensions and other notifiable matters.
  • Provide commercial and contractual support to Sales and Contracts teams in review and negotiation of draft contracts with the aim of establishing clear obligations and acceptable liabilities to safeguard the business interests.
  • Manage Applications billing in collaboration with the Finance team
  • Manage the processing and close-out of client final account assessments including resolution of contra charges claims and commercial disputes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise project outcomes and achieve value for money.
Skills and Qualification Requirements:
  • BA/MSc degree or eqivalent.
  • At least 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Strong communications skills both formal and informal.
  • Knowledge and experience of contracting processes.
  • Familiarity with "supply and install project cycle" of design, manufacture, delivery, on-site installation and commissioning is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications would be useful but are not essential.
  • Ability to promote and protect the commercial interests of the Company in dealing with our clients and subcontractors.
  • Ability to interact effectively with range of cross-functional colleagues including project managers, sales, technical and finance.
  • Eligible to work in UK.
