Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Production Supervisor located in Columbia SC.

Reporting to the Operations Manager , the Production Supervisor is responsible for directing outbound shipment operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality, and cost goals.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Oversee multiple processes in a technical environment, leading a team of professionals to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
  • Maintain seasonal high volume pick and pack and shipment customer demand
  • Regularly review plant performance, identify improvement areas, and recommend operational changes for efficiency and quality enhancement.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and provide resolutions; coach operators to enhance performance and understanding.
  • Collaborate with engineers on plant improvement proposals and provide technical advice to project teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between operations and maintenance, and train junior staff.
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product needs and resource availability.
  • Initiate process development and cost improvement projects, assist in budget planning, and manage expenses.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety standards and training for all personnel.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience related to shipping and receiving.
  • 4+ Supervisory experience and Leadership of a large team of associates
  • 3+ years of operations experience high volume pick and pack and shipping operations
  • Strong Supervisory Skills and background in providing direction and follow up to achieve operational goals
  • Knowledge of WMS
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel knowledge.
