Reporting to the Business Operations Sr Director , the Process Engineering Director role is accountable for driving the Embedded Power Products manufacturing assembly solutions to meet industrialization requirements. The role oversees and refines the prototypes and industrialization stage products manufacturing process, equipment/automation solutions, fixtures needs and flex system integration. The Process Engineering Director ensures that the assembly solutions adhere to the UPH, Capacity, and Quality requirements. The Product Engineering Director collaborates closely with the R&D team, Test Development, and Site Manufacturing team to successfully implement the appropriate assembly solutions for mass production. The Process Engineering Director manages a team of ME Managers, Engineers, and Technicians who are assigned to various category products undergoing the industrialization process.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assembly Manufacturing Development
- Product Manufacturing Process Mapping
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Automation (DFA) Review
- PFMEA Driver
- Development of Suitable Assembly and Automation Solutions to Align with Site Requirements
- Development of Robust and Cost-Effective Manufacturing Fixtures
- Integration of Flex System (ERP/MES) and Digitalization for New Product Development
- (FAT/SAT) Verification of Custom-Made Equipment
- Bachelor's degree, Engineering, or a related major.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in NPI/Industrialization, Process Engineering leader or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and development environments
- Ability to efficiently work in a fast-moving multi-site / multi geography environments
- To be both a team leader and an individual contributor
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in the assembly and testing processes of power products
- Proficient in the field of Manufacturing Automation solutions
- Knowledge of manufacturing process control digitalization setup will be advantageous
- Experience in fixtures design and materials selection
- Experience in Test fixtures design and materials selection
