Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineer located in Austin TX.

Reporting to the Senior Process Engineering Manager , the Process Engineer n charge for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Understand manufacturing processes and products.
  • Define and evaluate designs for manufacturability.
  • Identify root causes of manufacturing failures.
  • Engage in daily production and problem-solving.
  • Justify and implement capital equipment purchases.
  • Oversee new process equipment and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Establish and maintain process parameters.
  • Develop and own process control methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and improve cycle times.
  • Evaluate engineered materials and conduct statistical process research.
  • Implement safety and productivity improvements.
  • Enhance manufacturing techniques and throughput.
  • Maintain process documentation and review methods.
  • Collaborate on new process implementation and training.
  • Provide equipment maintenance and support.
  • Lead cost improvement initiatives.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics
  • 6 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry.
  • Understanding of PLCs (ABB preferred)
  • Experience with Minitab highly preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma/DRM Green Belt highly preferred
  • Medical device manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Previous position supporting 24/7 production
  • Experience with vision-based inspection (Cognex/Keyence software)
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel knowledge.
