Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Operations Supervisor located in City, State.

Reporting to the Automation Engineer the Operations Supervisor role is responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Supervises production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
  • Coordinates efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
  • Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered.
  • Direct and oversee the line technician team in their day-to-day activities including daily PMs and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all the waves has technical support including OT if needed.
  • Participate in the interview process to ensure your shift is coverage, including OT.
  • Manages work schedules, monitors overtime and approves timecard in the Kronos system.
  • Enforces safety policies and recommends changes to meet safety standards and laws.
  • Leads staff to complete assigned duties, which may include scheduling work, making work assignments, managing performance, and recommending personnel actions.
  • Provide tools, training and equipment necessary for the line technician.
  • Inspects, identifies, and assists to correct unsafe conditions, ensures safety procedures are followed, and reports workplace incidents.
  • Evaluate your team members monthly and provide actions as needed.
  • Provide periodic report with downtime tracker including contention and corrective actions.
  • Performs the same work as those supervised (if needed).
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in addition to 6 years of operations experience.
  • Demonstrates expertise in complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; Demonstrates advanced people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
  • To perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, word processing, spreadsheet (PC), presentation and database software. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Facilitates team in making group decisions. Approves and/or Makes decisions for sections/sub-functions. Decisions may affect sections/sub-functions.
  • Demonstrates experience in performance development, teaching/leading, mentoring and/or organization development. Instills appropriate behavior in others in support of Flex values.
