Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Operations Manager located in Henrico, VA.

Reporting to the Director, Program Management the Operations Manager Responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
  • Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
  • Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
  • Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
  • Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
  • Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews.
  • Coach and mentor Operations team.
  • Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
The experience we're looking to add to our team,
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience, typically requires 9 years of related experience including management.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Low-Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear, UL 67 Panelboards, UL 857 Busway, UL 1008 Transfer Switch Equipment, UL 62368/60950 Information Technology Equipment, as applicable is preferred.
  • Experience in Capacity planning, production scheduling.
  • Microsoft suite ( excel).
  • Strong leadership and Communication skills.
