Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Operations Manager located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
What a typical day looks like:
- Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels. (70-80 direct reports)
- Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
- Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
- Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
- Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
- Manage PCBA operations including SMT processes.
- Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews.
- Coach and mentor Operations team.
- Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
- 8+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations, fulfillment, packaging, logistics and material planning. Minimum of 3 years in supervisory role.
- Experience working with and presenting to external customers.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing process (Green belt preferred)
