Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Operations Manager located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
What a typical day looks like:
- Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
- Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
- Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
- Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
- Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
- Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
- Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews.
- Coach and mentor Operations team.
- Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering/manufacturing or related field required. Master's Degree or MBA Preferred.
- 9+ years of management experience in high volume manufacturing operations, fulfillment, packaging, logistics and material planning.
- Experience working with and presenting to external customers.
- Experience with tracking and reporting operations metrics including but not limited OEE, Yield, OTD, Safety, Quality etc.
