To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a OpenBMC Firmware Manager located in Taipei Design Site .

Reporting to the Site Director , the OpenBMC Firmware Manager involves leading a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded Linux firmware for power shelf controller. Role will involve leading firmware development, implementing robust firmware solutions, and ensuring reliability and adherence to standards.

What a typical day looks like :
  • Design OpenBMC Firmware by applying knowledge of BMC architecture.
  • Lead a team of firmware engineers and providing technical guidance.
  • Customize OpenBMC stack to meet customer's requirement
  • Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, test engineers and other teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware.
  • Define coding standards and development processes to maintain high-quality firmware codebase.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Overall project responsibility in all aspects on firmware design related- from project kick off to end of MP
The experience we're looking to add to our team :
  • Bachelor or above degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • At least 15 years of experiences in firmware development and 5 years experiences in people management.
  • Be highly passionate and interested in Linux development and capability of teamwork in multi-task environment.
  • Experience developing device drivers for peripherals and connectivity buses (e.g., I2C, SPI, PMBus, USB).
  • Capability of independent research and working with new technologies is required.
  • Strong understanding of embedded hardware architectures and peripheral interfaces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (in Mandarin and English) is required.
  • Domain expertise in OpenBMC or AST2600 firmware development experience is plus
  • Domain expertise in MCU development, DMTF MCTP and PLDM is plus
