To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus .

This role involves being responsible for validating technical information, specifying and designing automation equipment, creating tools and reporting, as necessary to meet requirements.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Fixture design, pokayokes, improvement implementations, this will be required depending on the project.
  • Complete design of robotic stations.
  • Review of 2D and 3D drawings of the product.
  • Generation of 2D manufacturing plans with tolerances.
  • Generate a proposal for automation of the manual processes that exist on the production floor.
  • Generate and review engineering documentation (Manuals, Troubleshooting's, BOM, trainings, maintenance plan, etc.).
  • Develop and review D-AMEF & P-AMEF.
  • Cost Analysis/ROI research support.
  • Generate simulations of automation proposals.
  • Interpretation and establishment of KPI and Operational Metrics
  • Validate integrator designs (PDR/CDR).
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to solve problems, new proposals, display information, etc.).
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechatronics, or similar engineering.
  • Intermediate-Advanced English level
  • Sheet metal design experience.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in SolidWorks.
  • Advanced experience in mechanical design, preferably with experience in riveting, screwing, threading, P&P, AOI, Hipots and use of industrial robots and cobots.
  • Motion Simulation and forces in SolidWorks
  • Center of mass calculation in Solidworks.
  • High skill in 3D design, Solidworks, Autocad.
  • Experience with suppliers for automation integration solution
  • Strong experience in product design for Automation
  • Strong knowledge of safety systems oriented to operator safety.
  • GD&T

  • Generation and understanding of pneumatic diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge in stamping, punching and welding applications.
  • Knowledge of Office tools (Word, Excel, PPT)

  • Sense of urgency.
  • Visa and passport are preferred.
