Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we're looking to add a Materials Supply Chain Intern located in our Austin, TX site.

Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, the student will assist with maintaining materials/purchasing data, supply data and information to other production departments, coordinating, creating and maintaining outsourced parts schedules.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Assists in auditing data for accuracy and preparing summary reports, spreadsheets, graphics and charts based on the research of data.
  • Prepares summary reports, spreadsheets, and charts based on research of data from multiple sources, which may include but will not be limited to customer bills of material reports, staff metrics, PPV metrics, and PPV form tracking.
  • Proactively identifies and escalates potential issues related to metrics.
  • Tracks materials financial performance, and initiate corrective actions when required.
  • Participate in daily review of RMA transactions.
  • Creates weekly purchase orders including all client parts and updates content list and item master.
  • Assist in the supply chain transfer and risk management for NPI.
  • Design, manage and control all data research tools
  • Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
Student qualities we're seeking for this internship assignment:
  • Undergrad student pursuing Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or related major
  • Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
  • Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
  • Previous internship experience a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
  • Available to start on May 27th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
