Reporting to the Power Manager, the Magnetics Design Engineer - Power Electronics role involves...
What a typical day looks like :
- Join the hardware architecture and product integration concept definition
- Develop magnetic component specification, design and simulation
- Work with suppliers to achieve trade-off between cost, performance and size
- Support component debug, validation, till to production
- Release design and test documents
- New tech study and sharing, technical documents writing
- Develop patents/trade secrets to protect company's intellectual property
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or automotive field
- Experience in magnetic component design & assembly of ACDC or DCDC towards series mass production
- Good knowledge on different core material and winding structures
- Be familiar with thermal and EMC analysis of magnetic components
- Experience in magnetic component simulation tool, such as Maxwell, Comsol, etc.
- Deep knowledge of magnetic component test knowledge
- Skilled with lab equipment for debugging.
- Good command of read & write English
