We are looking for new colleague in our team for the following position:

Logistics Project Lead

Reporting directly to the Director, Global Program Management in this role you will be responsible for ensuring productivity, efficiency, and management of various logistics operations. These operations may include, but are not limited to, tracking product shipments, contract negotiations, preparation of budget and cost analysis statements, creation of more efficient logistical planning, and coordination of shipments.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance measures to assess operational success.
  • Write or revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing research in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.
  • Define packaging requirements to meet operational and regulatory standards.
  • Compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates and order fulfillment rates, to monitor performance.
  • Manage systems to ensure that pricing structures accurately reflect logistics costs.
  • Communicate with and monitor service providers, including ocean carriers, air freight forwarders, global consolidators, customs brokers, or trucking companies.
  • Prepare logistics processes in compliance with the requirements set out in the Routing Guides of each site.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, foreign trade, and transport laws.
  • Collaborate with local site management and logistics managers within central material management.
  • Maintain communication with carriers to ensure alignment on logistics goals.
  • Actively participate in the selection and evaluation of transporters to enhance service quality and reduce costs.
  • Actively participate in negotiations with specific countries/suppliers to optimize logistics arrangements.
  • Develop and monitor logistics performance indicators to track improvements and identify areas for further enhancement.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of experience in relevant field
  • Good knowledge of Hungarian and English is essential
  • Analytical mindset and technical aptitude
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
