Job Summary

Work Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:15 PM, Monday - Friday)

Job Summary: The [Job Title] is responsible for overseeing the performance of individuals within the department, participating in process development and cost improvement projects, and managing departmental resources and expenses. This role requires effective communication and coordination to ensure production efficiency and quality standards are met.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Provide ongoing feedback on individual performance through formal and informal evaluations.
  • Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
  • Coordinate personnel resource requirements for the department.
  • Assist in department budget planning and manage departmental expenses.
  • Communicate daily plans and address any production or customer service issues.
  • Highlight material shortages and interface with Expediter/Purchasing regarding part shortages.
  • Recognize and monitor bottlenecks in production processes.
  • Report and alert resources concerning downtime.
  • Interface with Test Support/Maintenance on equipment problems.
  • Track time for New Product Introduction (NPI), pre-production, and rework activities.
  • Ensure effective communication with opposite shifts to maintain workflow.
  • Update department communication boards regularly.
  • Follow quality indicators and take action if predefined indicators fall below target.
  • Serve as the primary contact for addressing scrap occurrences in any process step.
Education / Experience:
  • Typically requires an Associate's Degree, vocational or technical training, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 2 years of related experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Awareness of Flex technologies and techniques.
  • Demonstrates functional and process knowledge and actively participates in process improvement.
  • High level of competency related to the function.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret moderately complex instructions.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Capable of solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
