Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Equipment Maintenance Supervisor (night shift ) located in Austin TX.

Reporting to the Sr Engineering Manager, the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor (night shift) role involves...

* SHIFT: Wed, Thurs, Fri, every other Sat 6:00PM - 6:00AM (20% shift differential) *

What a typical day looks like:
  • Directs daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.
  • Establishes preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
  • Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations.
  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.
  • Administer safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees.
  • Generates maintenance logs and other operations metrics.
  • Work in a high-volume environment troubleshooting highly automated electronic and mechanical equipment in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively within the team, to customers, and to management.
  • Adapt to handle multiple assignments and projects and work to complete them rapidly and effectively.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Experience with working on highly automated machinery and robotics.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience (Lead, supervisor, management, military equivalent)
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, manufacturing support, and peers
  • Must have well-developed problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing demands.
  • A good understanding of PLC systems and automated systems. Should have good practical experience in PLC - Systems for robotics, process, or material handling work.
  • Need to be able to manage a large group of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts effectively
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.
