To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Director of Engineering located in Guadalajara, North.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Operations Engineering, Director of Engineering role will be responsible to direct and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in the Manufacturing operations to drive Process development and manage technical relationship with customer to support NPI processes for CEC Global operations.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Will act as the first escalation point globally for all product programs, projects, and operational performance issues.
  • Ensure collaborative cross-functional teamwork to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control all phases of NPI.
  • Ensure effective two-way communications between Flex Operations and Global Account Management.
  • Facilitate and enhance cross-functional relationship to maximize customer satisfaction criteria and operational performance.
  • Provide the necessary leadership and support to site Program & Project Managers (design, NPI, operations, etc.) to ensure programs are executed to plans.
  • Participate in NPI program reviews.
  • Ensure all programs and project teams adhere to the Flex Product Life Cycle Process (FPLC) process.
  • Be responsive to customer requests and ensure high Customer Satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective and timely corrective action of any performance and customer related issues.
  • Recognizes and develops talent as a key element of executing operational business plans. Ensures Flex's values are part of site work life. Provides strategic leadership for the function.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Experience in a Program/Operational Management or leadership role.
  • Engineering degree required.
  • Experience with managing advanced process development activities.
  • Previous experience working within Manufacturing supporting NPI and Product Transfers.
  • Strong customer and Program management experience with Tier 1 OEMs.
  • Good knowledge on PCBA and System Integration processes.
  • Experience in both PCBA and Back End assembly processes.
  • Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization, both at customer & Flex.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail. Ability to dig deep into issues when needed.
