Overview

The Opportunity:

As the AI Governance Program Manager, you will use your understanding of regulatory requirements and practical experience to establish policy, process and management structures to develop strong internal governance focusing on AI systems.

Reporting into the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Operations, you will collaborate with other members of the Enterprise Risk Management group and work cross-functionally with members of risk, security, compliance, data privacy, and AI solutions teams. You will have the opportunity to develop an effective and proportionate approach to managing AI solutions across the enterprise.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Manages all phases of program from ideation through deployment to ensure program elements are completely and efficiently meeting the business requirements
  • Defines program scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Proactively manages changes in program, identifies dependencies and critical path, and devises contingency plans
  • Collaborates with existing technology risk, compliance, AI development programs, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integrations with existing practices
  • Assesses requirements to deliver program components and sub-components, which may include implementation of solutions, staffing of projects, timelines, etc.
  • Educates colleagues about AI governance best practices to build a culture of responsible AI implementation and use
  • Creation and maintenance of AI governance documents and management information
  • Performs evaluation of all AI solutions prior to their deployment, ensuring they meet appropriate standards Document all findings, recommendations, and implementation details for transparency to leadership
  • Gathers and analyzes information to enable effective evaluation of AI risks
  • Develops risk mitigation plans and coordinates with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of those plans
  • Ensures AI risk controls and guidance are kept up to date to meet evolving governance standards of the enterprise
  • Stays up to date with the latest advancements in AI and integration technologies
  • Produces reporting for program governance forums, senior management, and other stakeholder groups

Your Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5+ years experience managing technology risk governance
  • Experience working with Generative AI and Machine Learning technologies
  • Exposure to large language models (LLMs) and multimodal models (MMMs)
  • Familiarity with Azure Open AI
  • Broad knowledge of risk management strategies
  • Proven experience in integrating AI models into production environments
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, internal clients, and other departments

Compensation:

  • $105,000-$170,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
