About the Position
As the Director, People Systems, you will partner with FiscalNote leadership to design, build, implement and manage our HR systems and workflows including, but not limited to, our HRIS, ATS, LMS, Helpdesk and Intranet. You will identify areas of opportunity to improve existing processes and implement changes that positively impact the People Team and FiscalNote employees worldwide. You will implement metrics and analytics, integrations, processes and workflows, employee records and reporting. You will work closely with other stakeholders, including People Partners, Total Rewards, Recruiting, Payroll, and IT. 

The salary range for the role is $110,000 - 125,000 per year.

You are technical and enjoy finding ways of automating manual tasks through the careful implementation of process and integrations. You are a strong communicator, critical thinker, keen problem solver, metrics-minded, and highly organized.

What to Expect in This Position

  • Configure and maintain all HR systems and associated workflows / integrations
  • Evaluate current processes and develop new ones surrounding employee lifecycle management, performance management, learning and development, time and attendance, and more
  • Ensure system and process compliance with all in-scope security & compliance controls
  • Maintain deep understanding of HR technology trends and best practices to recommend scalable technology solutions
  • Provide counsel and thought leadership on HR process with a mindset of meeting business needs, identifying creative solutions, and ensuring the best end-user experience possible
  • Ensure HR system adoption via documentation and training sessions
  • Partner closely with and actively manage all HR system vendor relationships
  • Build out and maintain executive dashboards and reporting
  • Participate as a core member on the Systems and Information Governance Board responsible for all People-related data and systems
  • Report directly to the SVP, People with dotted-line reporting to the Sr. Director of Enterprise IT

What Sets You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2+ years of experience administering HR systems such as BambooHR, Lever, Workday, PeopleSoft, Kronos, and/or ADP in a global environment.
  • Expertise in best-practices, strategic delivery, and operational execution of HR systems solutions, business reporting, and analytics.
  • Experience demonstrating building and operationalizing HR programs from scratch and redesigning effective HR programs and workflows for multi-stakeholder use.
  • Basic understanding of employment law, employee records, records retention and protection, and labor and compliance reporting, including experience with international employment requirements.
  • Proven experience at successfully developing and strengthening management controls and operational processes for internal and external needs.
  • Highly motivated and positive team player, hands-on and strategic, willing and able to jump in and help the cause, with a customer service focus
  • Keen ability to be an effective relationship-builder, a creative, collaborative, and flexible work ethos, mission-focused, solutions-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement
  • High integrity, must be objective and exercise confidentiality and discretion
