Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
This position is responsible for design, implementation, and support of automated processes for the Bank's infrastructure automation platforms. Provides expert guidance on new automation initiatives and will work closely with infrastructure architects, engineers and application support teams to build robust and scalable solutions facilitating business objectives. Supports existing automation processes addressing issues ensuring functionality and availability of infrastructure automation processes.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical support for the Bank's Infrastructure Automation platforms by addressing issues, diagnosing blueprints & workflows, troubleshooting integrations, and reviewing logs.
- Responsible for the lifecycle of the platform including patching, upgrades, approvals, and writing technical documentation of processes and procedures.
- Designs automated solutions based on industry best practices and tooling that align with long-term business needs and technical direction. Collaborate with technology teams to build new or enhance existing workflows in accordance with corporate technology and security standards.
- Performs full release testing (Development, QA, UAT, Production) and elevates changes in accordance with the corporate Change Management and Software Development Life Cycle policies. Coordinates testing with application support staff to ensure solutions are fully vetted before reaching users in Production.

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in systems engineering or administration in one of the following IT infrastructure disciplines: Server Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, or Network Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience developing lifecycle automation, task automation and configuration management policies for infrastructure platforms. Experience with Terraform, VMware Aria Automation, Puppet and/or Ansible a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in building integrations utilizing native libraries, APIs, and web hooks.
- A solid software development foundation including knowledge of modern programming languages. Experience with shell scripting languages a plus.
- Solid knowledge of common enterprise IT systems and components including virtualization, operating systems, networking (IP addressing, routing, firewalls, name resolution), and directory services.
- Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM).
- Familiarity with Package Managers and/or Software Repositories: Artifactory, Chocolatey, RedHat Satellite, PyPI.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical requirements. Candidate must be able to conceptualize the interactions between systems in a workflow and understand the protocols and data passed between them.
- Good working knowledge of standard software development ways of working, practices and software: Jira Issue Management, Agile methodology, DevOps Platforms (Azure DevOps / GitLab), Git, CI/CD, Deployment Pipelining, Bug Reporting.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment with a solid understanding of the Change Management, Incident Management and Software Development Lifecycle processes.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation.
- Ability to be on call
If hired in AZ, the base pay for this position is generally between $110,045 - 168,736. If hired in NC, the base pay for this position is generally between $100,023 - $153,368. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
