Overview

This position performs data analysis in support of technology hardware tracking, analysis, reviews and reporting for the Infrastructure & End User corporate owned assets. Assesses a wide scope of business practices, information, and industry trends. Determines improvements or solutions to address identified hardware asset control issues. Prepares technical reports by examining and summarizing asset data and creates specifications to support asset management initiatives. Performs recurring asset management support tasks related to onboarding of hardware assets, maintenance of hardware asset records, data quality assurance and associated reconciliation steps, managing end-of-support/end-of-service, and asset retirement. Review hardware requests and perform needs assessments to determine if requests meet FCB hardware standards. Evaluate hardware purchasing requirements through reporting and analysis of inventory data. Ensure requests are reviewed and assigned in a timely manner and ensure adequate hardware is on-site for normal business requirements. Assist associates with ordering process and work with Hardware Asset Management and ITSM teams to report issues with systems/workflows. Coordinate activities related to asset management, including box pickup requests, termination reclamation, and assist with general equipment requests. Work with IT Service Management, Hardware Asset Management, and other Infrastructure teams on process improvements related to the Operational Asset Management functions. Enhance firm's asset management processes based on industry practices. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis - This position performs data analysis to identify factors that affect technology asset management tracking, analysis, and reporting. Assesses a wide scope of business practices, information, and industry trends. Determines improvements or solutions to address identified issues. Prepares technical reports by examining and summarizing data and creates specifications to support asset management operations. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed.
  • Operational Support - Provides support for business operations by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve team practices. Assists in streamlining daily workflow for overall unit, resolving escalated matters where possible. Implements recommended modifications and enhancements. May serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units.
  • Identifying Objectives - Determines business needs through complex analysis and reporting. Develops strategies to achieve company and department goals, and communicates these through the use of specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation.
  • Reporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. May develop process enhancements based on reporting.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in hardware asset management, Analytics or Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in hardware asset management, Analytics or Reporting.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with system management tools, such as SMS or MECM or CMDB inventory tools (Service Now preferred), Excel data tools.
  • Previous asset management experience, preferably in a large organization
  • Knowledge of PC, mobile devices, network, and server infrastructure hardware and technology as well as Microsoft Active Directory
