Overview
This role is onsite at FCB's Data Center, located at 100 East Tryon Road Raleigh, NC 27603. There will be some work from home opportunities, but in-office days are required weekly.
The Information Technology organization at First Citizen's Bank has established a summer internship program to invest in our future workforce. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for you to apply classroom knowledge in a corporate IT environment while delivering tangible value to the organization.
In addition, each Intern will be given the following opportunities:
- Assigned to a manager who can help guide you through the program on a daily basis.
- Assignment of a mentor to help facilitate a broader view of the Information Technology function.
- Additionally, a peer advisor team has been is there to assist the Intern in being successful with navigating organization, political, and cultural landscapes.
- Participation in unique technology or banking related training events.
- Involvement in networking and team-building events.
- A project designed to improve a defined process within the Bank's Information Technology function will be assigned to each Intern to plan and execute during the internship.
- A wrap-up presentation will be prepared by the Interns to be shared with the Chief Information Officer and other key leaders in the company to outline their accomplishments and experience during the internship.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
Accountabilities can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.
Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.
Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)
Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program
Preferred qualifications:
3.0 minimum GPA
Strong desire to learn and grow
Possess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with others
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinking skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs
