Senior Quantitative Analyst, Model Validation

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in Texas.

This position will manage the review & development of risk models & tools used to report on and manage the financial metrics, balance sheet and risk of the company. The primary focus is the design, development, and implementation of algorithms and mathematical or statistical models intended to solve complex financial problems.

Responsibilities

  • Model Development & Data Analysis - Responsibilities include (1) data analysis and research including back testing of models and strategies using historical data, risk management of the business, (2) analyzing and assessing key risks to the bank; and (3) executing stress tests and scenario analysis to evaluate the performance of models under various adverse market conditions.
  • Model Documentation & Peer Leadership - Review documentation.
  • Business Support - Engage, troubleshoot and escalate work deliverables for assigned systems, products, or business units.
  • Process Improvement & Peer Leadership - Identifies potential improvements to current procedures, plans, and controls to achieve business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in financial, statistical, or quantitative analysis experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in financial, statistical, or quantitative analysis experience

License or Certification Type: null null

The base pay for this position is generally between $135,000.00 and $195,000.00 Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
