Overview
This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
The VP, Sr Portfolio and Relationship Manager - CMS is responsible for portfolio and relationship management. Acquires, expands and retains client relationships across various sectors. Creates and implements the service delivery and retention strategy for the Bank's highest valued clients. Works collaboratively with various sales partners to build and manage banking relationships to ensure clients' needs are met. Manages and executes strategies related to the investment portfolio to maximize returns without taking on undue risk. Ensures alignment and compliance with corporate strategy, internal policy, applicable laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for managing, maintaining, & controlling a portfolio of larger, more complex credit facilities.
- Responsible for cultivating a strong relationship with the borrowers.
- Analyze and monitor borrowers' financial and collateral performance to ascertain appropriate credit facilities and risk ratings.
- Maintain knowledge of borrowers' industry
- Prepare and analyze cash flows, financial statement spreads and risk rating worksheets.
- Negotiate credit facilities and fee structures with the borrowers and coordinate field exams and execution of legal documents.
- Prepare comprehensive credit analysis reports and present credits to the regional and national credit committees.
- Act as a liaison between borrowers and internal staff including senior management, field exam, customer credit, operations, and legal departments.
- Interact with borrowers and referral sources to maximize client retention and seek new business opportunities.
- Ensure portfolio is compliant with First Citizens and Policies and Procedures.
- Familiarity with and ability to apply and understand Compliance procedures to meet government and company regulations and risk profiles.
- Meet with and communicate with borrowers on a regular basis.
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Financial Services OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Financial Services
Preferred:
- 7 years of progressive portfolio management/underwriting experience with relevant focus in the working capital financing and leverage lending sector, with a focus on Retail, Apparel, Consumer Products
- Required BA in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or any degree with relevant professional experience
