Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in North Carolina.

Seeking a Senior Manager for IT Delivery to lead planning, program management & governance, drive execution of delivery of technology solutions used at First Citizens Wealth. This is a leadership role that collaborates with executives in First Citizens Wealth and Engineering leaders to develop a technology roadmap and lead execution to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that enhance customer experience, operational effectiveness and help achieve the overall business goals. This role will lead a team comprising of Delivery Leads and Scrum Master, will own operational excellence for tightly integrated technology platform work efforts and closely collaborates with key stakeholders to drive strategy alignment and delivery of work toward organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, goals, objectives, roadmap, and execution plans to deliver business capabilities that help achieve goals for First Citizens Wealth.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders, enterprise PMOs, and product managers to ensure delivery objectives and product roadmaps are aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Define processes and lead teams in execution for portfolio governance, demand intake, prioritization. Develop effective mechanisms to monitor delivery progress and performance, identifying risks, issues, or improvement areas early and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, and risk partners to ensure alignment and effective implementation of required practices.
  • Oversee the delivery from the platform team for multiple projects and programs, ensuring teams are high performing and business objectives are met. Take ownership of defining scope, maintaining multi-release roadmaps, managing budgets, staffing, and team capacity, and removing impediments for both project work and ongoing operational activities.
  • Lead end-to-end technology delivery, ensuring successful execution by platform teams to deliver enterprise programs and projects. Define and implement best-in-class delivery frameworks.
  • Implement enhancements and best practices that streamline workflows and accelerate delivery cycles without compromising quality. Ensure that delivery practices are consistent and in line with enterprise standards and controls, working with team members to standardize processes and uphold governance and compliance across all projects.
  • Provides direction and oversight to large scale projects and products. Assigns project tasks, drives project schedules, product releases, and conveys results or updates to the appropriate parties. Develops and utilizes methods of tracking performance.
  • Communicate effectively with executive leadership, providing regular updates on initiatives, risks, and value delivery.
  • Leads cross functional development from design to delivery with oversight on project execution risk. Strategizes, schedules, and aligns financials and resources essential for executing major initiatives and programs, ensuring delivery of key business outcomes.
  • Develops methods for monitoring the progress and performance of these initiatives and programs, within the assigned technology function. Examines outcomes to identify potential issues, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
  • Supports budget forecasting, capital planning and invoicing.
  • Manage critical vendor relationships and activities.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Applications development, analysis or engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Applications development, analysis or engineering

Preferred skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of experience in Program & Project Management.
  • Experience leading teams in complex projects & programs.
  • Strong management skills and familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Exposure to leading teams and delivering in an agile model.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading communication with Senior Executives
  • Must have 5+ years of people management experience including leading project managers or scrum masters.
  • Ability to collaborate with the business stakeholders in defining roadmap and recommending ideas to solve business problems using technology.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, Knowledge of Execution Methodologies or Frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
  • Knowledge of end to end delivery lifecycle from system or data design to implementation
  • License or Certification Type: Project Management Certification Preferred, Certified Scrum Master (Any or Multiples)
  • Experience supporting Wealth Management is a plus.
