Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
**Remote with ability to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona or Morristown, New Jersey, on an as needed basis.
This position is responsible for directing, developing, building and governing a Security Assurance function to manage risk across bank systems. This position requires the right candidate to build and run the capability to build and mange risk across the enterprise. This role will work closely with various departments and to collect, prepare, organize, and analyze risk while ensuring the Bank meets regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Leads a multifunctional team, improving and streamlining security assurance within the company and driving innovation.

Responsibilities
- Security Assurance Management - Ensures enterprise alignment with the destination Security strategy across business and corporate functions. Develops strategies to close gaps and influence senior leaders to leverage more effective data management practices. Leads the execution for high value opportunities and accelerates areas beyond regulatory reporting with alignment to the overall Security strategy.
- Security Assurance Governance - Directs the audit and regulatory exam activity for security topics. Responsible for the security assurance diagnostic; building out and assessing effective approach, resources and tools. Maintains current knowledge of developments in the banking industry and keeps staff informed of practices and regulations affecting security assurance risk.
- Managerial Functions - Manages the recruitment, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Provides professional development to enhance performance. Develops leadership bench strength for effective career progression and succession planning for the Security Assurance team. Directs special projects and other initiatives as needed.
- Partnerships - Maintains influential relationships with management, external auditors, and regulators. Serves on committees and liaises with key parties to represent department.
Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management or Data Management
OR
High School Diploma or GED and 16 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management or Data Management
Preferred Education: Advanced Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of risk management principles and controls, business practices, transaction structuring, and credit documentation,
- Understanding of banking and lending practices, financial analysis, accounting rules, and credit products,
- Project Management or Consulting
- Expereince in Security Assurance Management and Security Assurance Governance
- Previous experience managing and coaching both people and processes
If hired in North Carolina, the base pay for this position is generally between $MIN and $MAX. If hired in [STATE D], the base pay for this position is generally between $MIN and $MAX. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
