Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
Remote with ability to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona or Morristown, New Jersey, on an as needed basis.
This position is responsible for managing the architectural vision while meeting information security goals and objectives to protect Bank's information assets. Develops and ensures the validation of and compliance with security architecture and high-level solution requirements across the enterprise. Conceptualizing, defining, and evaluating alternate solutions and technologies. This role leads efforts to develop and validate architecture and high level solutions design against security and architectural requirements. This role involves collaborating with IT, risk, compliance and business leaders to ensure security is embedded within enterprise architecture, cloud, applications and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities
- Security Strategy - Develops and influences information security strategy, roadmaps, and technology direction. Creates a framework for decision-making, design, and implementation activities. Establishes a program for ongoing threat identification and security enhancement. Conducts assessments of security architecture, evaluates technical architectures for security risks, and provides recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Security Architecture - Manages the security architecture team in developing, enhancing, reviewing, and monitoring security architectures. Supports architectural process and strategies through expertise and business planning. Assists in ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements. Partner with enterprise architects, IT leadership, and development teams to embed security in digital transformation initiatives.
- Managerial Functions - Build, mentor, and develop a team of cybersecurity architects. Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Responsible for budgeting or vendor management.
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Information Technology and Information Security
OR
High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Information Technology and Information Security
License or Certification Type: CISSP, GIAC, CISM, or OSCP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in Forensics, Security Operations, Incident Response, Research/Threat Detection, Malware Analysis, Assessments and Penetration testing, or Secure Software Development ,
- Knowledge of one or more standard security related frameworks,
- Knowledge of at least one modern programming language: (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C/C++/C#, Go, Ruby, Python, Perl, Powershell, etc.),
- Knowledge of security principles, risk assessment and offensive and defensive security testing concepts and their application in an enterprise IT environment,
- Knowledge of various platform technologies including cloud, network, distributed systems, desktop computing, voice, and threat management technologies,
- Strong knowledge of security trends, threats, and initiatives through relationships with key industry parties and involvement in relevant events or forums,
- Previous experience managing and coaching both people and processes.
If hired in North Carolina, the base pay for this position is generally between $184,846 and $283,431. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
