Overview
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
This position is responsible for the quality of the Bank's commercial loan portfolios, with a primary focus on commercial real estate. Ensures that key credit issues and risk exposures are thoroughly analyzed and effectively presented, the credit decisions are acceptable, and the structures appropriately mitigate the Bank's risk exposure. Implements credit actions that adhere to Credit Policy as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations and confirms the assigned Risk Ratings are accurate and justified.

- Credit Review - Ensures due diligence and background evaluation is complete before credit approval is granted. Ensures the effective administration of the corporate loan policies, programs, objectives, and goals as they pertain to the Bank. Assesses risk ratings of loans at approval, and in an ongoing basis. Assure the integrity of individual credits approved as well as the assigned portfolios.
- Business Support - Works with the Bank's lending and underwriting teams to provide recommendations and approvals on credit structure and potential risks. Negotiates, where necessary, terms under which credit will be extended, including the repayment term, covenants, and collateral requirements. Monitors and manages loan portfolio quality metrics.
- Documentation - Oversees documentation of loans to ensure complete loan files are maintained.
- Special Asset Management - Works with lenders to identify and manage problem loans. Collaborates with Special Assets or Bank attorneys as needed.
- Compliance - Ensures the integrity of the credit process, credit approval documentation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensures policy compliance requirements are met.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Underwriting, or Lending.

Highschool Diploma/GED and 12 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Underwriting, or Lending.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience decisioning Commercial Real Estate lending transactions in a large financial institution environment
- Demonstrated record of increasing credit authority
- Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills
- Effective communication, both verbal and written
- Detail Orientated and Organized
