Overview
The Senior Equipment Finance Collections Specialist provides administrative and collection activities to the First Citizens Bank Equipment Finance Division. Performs a full range of collection activities including addressing escalations and concerns to find solutions and performs high complexity tasks. Collaborates on the prompt and accurate resolution of business operations, collections, or technical issues. Maintains a strong knowledge of operational policies and procedures, understands the nuances of our different program types, systems and customer relationships, and related subjects to address complex inquiries and situations. May provide training for less experienced specialists in the work group.

Responsibilities
Collections - Performs high complexity tasks and manages escalated issues. Providing guidance and support to team members. Maintains high standards throughout all activities. Works with team members to improve collection metrics and QA by providing guidance and feedback
Business Support - Contributes to the development and delivery of business policies and procedures. Informs on system upgrades and outages impacting clients or the Equipment Finance Division. Assists management with special projects or other tasks as necessary.
Business Expertise - Serves as an expert resource on operations, systems, and policy information to both associates and clients. Maintains a strong knowledge of external regulations as well as Bank products and services.
Collaboration - Works closely with management and associates to resolve client issues. Provides feedback and assistance to management. Coordinates service delivery across teams when issues need to be escalated. Partners with internal departments to assist high
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
- OR -
High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of experience in Early/Mid/Late Stage Collections
Additional Requirements:
Early/Mid/Late Stage Collections experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High inbound/outbound call experience
Payment negotiation experience
Skip-tracing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Repossession experience
Settlement negotiation experience
Leasing collections experience
Banking/Commercial Banking industry experience
Advanced skip-tracing experience
