Overview
This position supports the Bank's Small Business Administration (SBA) products and services in the execution of daily sales activities. Responsible for supporting designated SBA Lenders and external Referral Partners across the continental United States. Reviews and analyzes business and personal financial information provided from an applicant to assess credit risk and appetite. This position is also responsible for determining initial SBA eligibility. May provide guidance to less experienced specialists in the work group.
Responsibilities
- Eligibility Review - Assesses applicants for initial SBA eligibility review and verification. Determining if a borrower is eligible based on cash flow, experience, required injection, etc.
- Analysis - Sources, complies, and interprets business and individual financials and credit reports to determine the creditworthiness of a business client. Analyzes factors that impact credit on both a quantitative and qualitative basis. Identifies risks and handles negotiations to streamline the sales process
- Risk Management - Manages risk associated with determining if the bank should proceed with issues a term sheet for SBA loan requests.
- Documentation - Prepares term sheet presented to clients and/or Referral Partners.
- Communication - Provide consistent communication to SBA Lender, Referral Partner, Client, and other team members as needed. Assists with analyzing loan processes for accuracy and efficiency, effectively communicates analysis output to SBA Lenders and Referral Partners

Bachelor's degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years' experience in sales, customer service or operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of SBA SOPs, program eligibility, credit criteria, and loan structure requirements.
Knowledge of financial accounting theory and logic
Proficient with computers, software, applications, and applicable banking systems
