Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

Responsible for supporting First Citizens BancShares' Integrated Risk Solutions (IRS) team by providing oversight of the quality control testing activities, primarily related to Archer configuration, through the development of a comprehensive quality assurance strategy focused on the reliability and performance of IRS products, ensuring they meet both customer and business expectations. This position requires a high degree of collaboration and communication skills to successfully support both business relationships and IRS operations.

  • Develop and execute a strategy to perform quality control testing focused on adherence to configuration best practices and alignment with business requirements
  • Develop and report on a set of metrics related to Quality Assurance activities to provide an adequate overview related to defect rates, test coverage and other data points
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank's enterprise Systems Development Lifecycle Standards (SDLC) by submitting Change Requests, developing and recording user stories/test scenarios, and capturing validation results
  • Coordinate with the IRS leadership team to ensure all facets of the Integrated Risk Solutions team run smoothly
  • Manage employees / contractors to ensure adequate coverage of all Integrated Risk solutions
Participate in ERM Technology systems development lifecycle

  • Provide support for IRS projects, enhancements, and operational requests through the development of user stories/test scenarios
  • Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) prior to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Assist end users with UAT activities
  • Execute validation efforts and regression testing as required by the Bank's SDLC standards
  • Participate in project calls, as needed, and serve as a liaison between the IRS team and business partners


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Risk Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Risk Management

Additional Requirements:
  • Experience as an administrator of the Archer platform
  • Background in developing strategy for or performing Quality Control testing
  • Proven problem solver with ability to provide in-depth analysis of complex problems, manage risk and make quick decisions
  • Knowledge of various bank/government regulatory requirements and processes
  • Ability to comprehend and translate complex business requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional organization, analysis, decision-making and problem resolution skills
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives
  • Advanced PC Skills including Microsoft Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience leading a team of dynamic individuals
Other Preferred Qualifications:
  • Archer Certified Administrator certification
  • Experience leading at a Large Financial Institution

The base pay for this position is generally between $110,000 to $170,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
