Overview
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
This position will be a key leader on the Commercial Credit team and serves as an expert to commercial credit associates to drive loan portfolio performance and processes. Oversees the review, negotiations, and decisions on commercial loans and servicing plans. Serves as a key risk control officer to mitigate loss, delinquency, and overall risk for assigned credit portfolios. Works closely with sales leadership, relationship managers, and associates to support strategic objectives and business plans through daily activities. Serves as a subject matter expert.

- Credit Review - Oversees efforts to analyze, negotiate, and decision commercial loans and servicing plans. Assesses credit risks and establishes appropriate borrower risk ratings. Ensures loan decisions are consistent, objective, and compliant while meeting Bank and customer needs. Communicates credit decisions to all involved parties and recommends further action.
- Team Leadership - Utilizes expertise to provide guidance, feedback, and direction on complex matters. Assists in the communication of performance results and expected behaviors for success.
- Business Support - Coordinates with credit risk review and loan workout functions, assists in managing credit needs related to commercial banking services, and participates in client credit transactions. Leads and/or participates in projects and special assignments as needed to achieve commercial lending goals.
- Relationship Development - Establishes and maintains successful partnerships with executive leadership to ensure that commercial lending objectives are effectively communicated and carried out. May represent the Credit Administration department on committees and coordinates with affiliate banks.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Commercial Credit
-OR-
High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Commercial Credit
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience decisioning Commercial Real Estate lending transactions in a large financial institution environment
- Demonstrated record of increasing credit authority
- Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills
- Effective communication, both verbal and written
- Detail Orientated and Organized.
