Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
**Remote with ability to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona or Morristown, New Jersey, on an as needed basis.
The position plays a crucial role in the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) team, specializing in certificate lifecycle management and the automation of PKI processes. This position is responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of PKI systems within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Certificate Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and expiration, to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Automation of Certificate Processes: Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions to streamline operations related to digital certificates, reducing manual intervention and increasing system reliability.
- PKI System Support: Participate in the development and maintenance of PKI systems, focusing on technical execution and system optimization.
- System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular system maintenance, monitor the health of the PKI infrastructure, and address technical issues promptly to maintain service continuity.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement enhancements in the PKI processes, aiming to improve efficiency, security, and compliance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Keep detailed records of PKI procedures, configurations, and automated tasks. Ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory requirements by maintaining up-to-date documentation.

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in systems engineering, networking or information security technologies -OR- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering, networking or information security technologies
Preferred degree discipline: Information Security, MIS, Computer Science/Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Security Certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are highly desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of digital certificate management tools and PKI technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages, particularly for automating security processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, capable of documenting processes clearly and interacting effectively with IT and security teams.
