Overview
The Relationship Management roles are responsible for acquiring, orchestrating, and growing entire client and ecosystem relationships; deepening relationships within the C-Suite; consulting on, and cross-selling, the entire SVB platform (i.e. Treasury management to Debt financing to the Private Bank, etc.) to address client business and personal needs; orchestrating cross-functional SVB teams to optimize the client experience; and building real relationships to differentiate SVB with all key influencers in the market. Core responsibilities include new business development and expansion of existing relationships, as well as, originating, advising on, and negotiating financing solutions for SVB Commercial Bank clients.

Responsible for a portfolio of client, prospect, and influential relationships in their respective market. Highly skilled at building and growing relationships with Founders, CEO's, CFO's, and other key influencers, as well as, developing and driving new business opportunities in the market. Strong understanding of the capital structure of venture backed technology companies. Highly skilled negotiator and financial engineer. Leads a highly effective, collaborative team. Maintains overall general management responsibility of their respective client portfolio.
Responsibilities
Responsible for relationship management of commercial bank clients and delivery of core commercial banking products (i.e. debt financing, treasury management, FX, investments, etc.) and broader SVB financial services (i.e. private bank, wealth advisory, etc.).
Drive increased revenue through deepening and expanding existing relationships.
Overall general management responsibilities for the respective business.
Build strategic relationships with key executives and influencers in the ecosystems; influence critical decisions balancing strategic objectives of company and clients.
Responsible for new business development, expansion of existing relationships.
Leadership, management and development of an account management team of approximately 25.
Responsible for ensuring the team is focusing on SVB's Values and Corporate Goals thru collaboration with appropriate business units and thru smart risk taking.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in OR High School Diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of directly related experience
Proven track record of developing and enhancing internal and external relationships
General management experience
Experienced internal and external business leader
Proven ability to maintain an extensive network of business relationships, including the executive management of clients, prospects, referral sources, and other influential relationships in market
Adept at building, managing, and scaling a business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation and marketing skills with an ability to build and close new relationships.
Understanding of Bank products, services and protocols.
Willingness to travel to clients and prospects as needed
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
