Overview
This position provides strategic leadership and governance for the Bank's Physical Security program. Responsible for the protection of business operations, classified information, infrastructure, assets, associates, clients, and the Bank's reputation. Develops technical and programmatic security initiatives that address physical security risks within technological infrastructure and the bank-wide operational environment. Manages the assessment and mitigation of physical security risks as well as incident or emergency response. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and laws. Provides expert consultation to senior leadership and legal testimony regarding security programs, technology, policies, operations, and crimes against persons or property.

This position provides security support for FCB data centers and colocation sites. This position manages a team of Regional Security Consultants, includes managing performance, training and evaluation, and provides coaching and support for professional development.
As needed, this position may perform executive protection duties
Responsibilities
Security Oversight - Responsible for effective and consistent security services delivery, physical security risk mitigation, and security incident response across multiple regions. Collaborates with Security Technology and Information Technology to evaluate, select and acquire security technology to ensure reliability and resistance to unauthorized exploitation. Directs the design and implementation of security systems within Bank facilities as well as ongoing system maintenance. Partners with Information Technology and Information Security on complex technical initiatives. Oversees vendors related to security programs or technology, including pricing and performance. Prepares and manages annual expenditures, budget projections, and business cases.
Security Strategy - Develops security strategies that mitigate risk and promote a safe, secure working environment. Creates and implements enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and programs. Ensures compliance with the Bank Protection Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Section 6801, state weapons laws, security regulations, and lighting requirements. Collaborates with business partners on the appropriate strategies and control measures to mitigate risks within the Bank's risk tolerance appetite. Provides expert consultation to senior leadership on physical security risks, mitigation, risk tolerance, and liability. Advises Human Resources on sensitive, high-risk, or potentially volatile associate matters.
Program Management - Directs the Bank's physical security risk assessment programs, safety assessment program and others as assigned. Develops, implements, and maintains a workplace violence prevention and response program. Oversees the analysis and reporting within these programs, and directs appropriate actions as necessary. Ensures accurate and timely operational risk event reporting and case management. Partners with other business units and leaders in the achievement of program goals.
Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes department achievements by providing professional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Retail Bank Operations and Security, including management
OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Retail Bank Operations and Security, including management
Additional Qualifications
Education and Training:
- Advanced training (preferably in a government setting) or certification in personnel protection is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in personnel protection is preferred
- Strong leadership and team management
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Solid understanding of security technologies and protocols (particularly for data centers), protective strategies, and threat management
- Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and manage crisis situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- 30% travel is required. Travel will be domestic and may include international
